Fatima Academy (Girl's And Boy's) is an educational institution established on 8 January 1998 and run by a trust named "Fatimah Educational and Health Trust." Nasim Anwar Nadwi is the director of the Academy and chairman of the Trust. To establish the Fatima Educational and Health Trust and Fatima Girls Academy Nasim Anwar Nadwi entirely devoted himself and sacrificed all his properties. His wife Tabassum Fatimah sold her jewellryfor this noble cause. Fatima Academy (Girl's And Boy's) is located in ItkiJawher, a town in the outskirt of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Hills, forests, and bushes surround the town, and a majority of the Muslim population lives there. In ItkiJawher, there was no educational institutionto impart the children of Muslims dual education. Illiteracy and the lack of leadership made Muslims a suppressed and underprivileged class. Christian Missionaries had spread a chain of schools and academies. Since there was no alternative, Muslim Students had to get enrolled in Christian Missionary schools where they unconsciously indoctrinated to the principles and norms of Christianity. In such a pathetic condition, Fatima Academy (Girl's And Boy's) was founded to bridge the void and to provide an alternative space for Islamic education along with contemporary education.
